Agni is the Sanskrit term for “Digestive Fire” that breaks down the food, assimilates the useful by products and eliminating the waste.
When digestive ability or Agni is strong, digestion is good and healthy tissues are created or in simple words strength is produced which is used by body for normal functioning and waste is efficiently eliminated. Agni gets weekend by improper eating, sedentry lifestyle, negative emotions, digestion gets disturbed and more of toxins are produced and get stored in the body and these toxins are the root cause of diseases.                                                                                                                                                                       AYURVEDIC REMEDIES-
FOR ALL DOSHAS-

  • Drink 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon Ginger juice in 1 cup warm water with 1 teaspoon honey every morning.
  • Eat a bit of ginger raisin chutney immediately before every meal.
    FOR VATA & PITTA ONLY-
  • Chew 1/4 tsp coriander seeds.
    FOR VATA & KAPHA ONLY-
  • Eat half teaspoon fresh Ginger with a pinch of salt immediately before each meal. (Omit salt if you have high blood pressure)
  • After heavy meals, drink a black pepper decoction.
    FOR PITTA ONLY –
  • After a heavy meal, drink a long pepper decoction or take one teaspoon ground cumin boiled in 1 cup buttermilk with a small amount of vegetable oil and a pinch of rock salt (omit salt if you have high blood pressure).

  • Surya Namaskar                                                                                                                                                                                          DIET PLAN –                                                                                                                                                                                        •green leafy vegetables or whole grains, take lots of fibre.
    • cereals like oats
    • eat freshly cooked food
    • fresh fruits- bananas, apples, etc and seasonal fruits
    • probiotics like yoghurt and buttermilk helps                                                                                                                                          • plenty of water intake
    • avoid oily food and junk food.
